If Even This Inbred Prat Saw It Coming
Yes, Henry Charles Albert David Montbatten-Windsor, aka Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, warned the head of Twitter about the January 6 insurrection ahead of time.
If this guy, a guy whose ties to the zeitgeist of the American body politic are somewhat tenuous, saw it coming, how did people whose business was to understand this miss this?
Prince Harry said he warned Twitter Inc. Chief Executive Jack Dorsey that his social-media platform was allowing a coup to be staged ahead of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
“Jack and I were emailing each other prior to January 6, where I warned him that his platform was allowing a coup to be staged. That email was sent the day before and then it happened, and I haven’t heard from him since,” Prince Harry said Tuesday while speaking on a panel at RE:WIRED, a conference hosted by technology magazine Wired.
A Twitter spokesman wouldn’t confirm whether Mr. Dorsey received an email from Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex during the conference criticized social-media companies for not doing enough to restrict misinformation and hate speech, including YouTube and Facebook. “I’m not on social media,” he said. “Until things change, that’ll remain the same.”
Actually, the answer is fairly simple: On the part of law enforcement, their racism and their political affinity to the MAGA crowd led them to ignore obvious signs, while on the part of social media, it was wilful blindness stemming from the profit motive.
